Kelebek Special Cave Hotel began in 1993 as a four-room guesthouse in owner Ali Yavuz's home on the hill above Göreme and has grown house by house to 35 rooms, some in fairy chimneys and some in caves carved in the eighth century: a swimming pool, a Turkish bath and sauna, an à la carte restaurant, and breakfasts and cooking classes at the family's farm in the valley.
