Opened in 1976 as the Istanbul Inter-Continental and later renamed The Marmara, The Marmara Taksim is the 28-storey tower on the south side of Taksim Square, with 388 rooms and suites looking over the Bosphorus, the Golden Horn or the city, a top-floor restaurant and bar, a pool, spa and hammam, and 18 event venues across 4,500 square metres; the last renovation finished in 2016.
